Going to the beach or the pool this week, to cool off from the sweltering hot temperatures? Dressing up for a pool party is great, but if you are laying out on the beach, or going swimming, it’s better to leave your precious gems at home. Sun and Sand, are not your jewelry’s best friend! Jewelry can also get lost in the ocean, get covered in sunscreen lotion, or lost in the sand. So it’s best, to leave your precious pieces at home for safe keeping!
If you do wear jewelry to the beach or the pool, less is more! How about some fun fashion bracelets or rings? That way you don’t have to worry about pieces getting lost out on the beach when you are having fun! If you do plan on wearing metals on the beach or at the pool, you should note that sterling silver can change colors in salt water and chlorinated pools, so may want to go with gold, titanium and platinum necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings instead. Gold-plated jewelry is also safe for the water.
Have fun this Independence Day and more importantly, be safe!
