Congratulations to Madison C. of Columbia! Her wonderful entry about her Mom won the “Epic Mom” contest!
She won a beautiful Diamond Rhythm of Love Pendant, valued at $499.
She was thrilled to have won! She stated, “I am so excited! I cannot wait to let my mom know! 🙂 This is amazing news!”
Here is her story: My momma “Kathy” was told at a young age that she would not be allowed to have children. Through the trials and tribulations that her life put her through, and after years of trying to conceive she chose to adopt. I was born into a family that could not take care of me and was put up for adoption as a newborn. My amazing mom chose to adopt me! My mom and my dad have given me one of the best lives that anyone could ever ask for. We may not always have enough money to go out as a family but my mom always does for others before herself. About six years ago, my mother became deathly ill and no matter how many doctors she went to, they could not find a reason. After a year of suffering, she was finally diagnosed with Celiac Disease and was told that it was one of the worst cases they had seen. She went through many procedures to try and find a remedy with no solution, except for a strict diet and a lot of prayer. No matter what happened in my mom’s life, she has always been there for me and she has given me a life that I never would have been blessed with if it was not for her. This past December my mom lost her mother to cancer. This will be the first Mother’s Day that she will have without her mother. My grandmother, mother, and I have always said that our love for one another is never ending and that no matter what life throws our way, our ‘circle’ will never break. My mother is the most generous, caring, and strong woman that I know. She is the secretary at an elementary school and her true passion is to better the lives of children. This gift would mean the world to my mother, as the circle would represent the three generations of our ‘circle’ and the love that we all share. My momma inspires me to be a better person and I pray that when I become a mother, I am half the mother that she didn’t have to be but chose to be due to her love for a child that she only saw through pictures. I will forever be grateful for my mother and all that she has done for me!
